Who can participate in the Haunted Hustle?
Anyone! Everyone! Adults, children, pets or corporate teams are all welcome to join a 5K or 10K race. The 1K Fun Run is meant primarily for kids. The 5K Walk is for anyone who enjoys Bronte Creek Provincial Park. Leased dogs are welcomed on the 5K Walk too!

Who is organizing the Haunted Hustle?
The organizing committee is comprised of people with a passion for Project Soniashnyk. Race timing will be manage by Enfield Timing. The Race Director for the Haunted Hustle is Dan Dubreuil. Dan has experience organizing several runs at Bronte Creek Provincial Park and other locations in Burlington.

Is Project Soniashnyk a registered Canadian Charity?
Project Soniashnyk is a dedicated fund of the BCU Foundation. BCU Foundation is a registered Canadian Charity. It was created to establish a permanent means of delivering substantial assistance to noteworthy community-based cultural and educational endeavours in Canada. Since its establishment, BCU Foundation has distributed over $17 million in support of countless projects to a multitude of organizations across Canada.

Do I need to wear a Halloween Costume at the race?
Costumes are encouraged, but certainly not required. Come as you are or wear something orange, purple or black if you have it. Prizes awarded for fastest 5K time in a full costume (Adult Male, Adult Female, Boy and Girl under 17).

Do the runs take place on paved road, paths or grass?
The majority of the 5K and 10K races take place on wide, smooth gravel paths.

What time do the Races start?
The 10K Run, 5K Run will start at 11:30am, followed immediately by the 5K Walk at 11:35am. The 1K Fun Run will start at 10:45am

What time does Race Registration open?
Registration for all races opens at 9:30am. All runners for the timed events are asked to arrive before 10:30am to ensure we can assign race bibs and get everybody to the starting line on time!
Will the 5K and 10K Races be timed?
Yes, both competitive races will be chip-timed.

Will there be food and beverages?
Fruit and water will be available for Runners and Walkers the morning of the race. Other food options may be available for lunch (TBD).

What does it cost enter Bronte Creek Provincial Park?
Unfortunately, Bronte Provincial park has changed their policy towards supporting large events in the park.
Admittance to Bronte Creek Provincial Park is charged on a per vehicle basis. There is no per person charge and no charge for walking or cycling in. The fee covers the use of all areas of the day use side (with the exception of the pool) for one day.
• Daily Vehicle Permit: $18.00
• Senior Permit (65+): $14.50
• Disabled Permit (with proof of Ontario Disability Permit): $9.00
• Bus Permit: $62.50

Park Entry Passes Can be bought online 7 days prior to Oct 26th. Click here to purchase your "Day Use" pass.
Passes can also be purchased at the gate on Race Day. We encourage you to buy online so that you do not need to wait in line at the Park Gate.

When / How do I get the Park Entry Pass that I got with my Early Bird Bonus?
Park Entry Passes that were obtained via the "Early Bird Bonus" will be distributed on Race Day (only). To claim the pass please go to the parking lot of Corpus Christi High School located at 5150 Upper Middle Rd. It is about 1Km just West of the Park’s entrance for Day Use facilities.
You will need an ID to claim the pass you bought.
Where should I park once I get into the park?
All participants are asked to go to Parking Lot ‘F’. This lot is located close to the Breckon Shelter where Race registration takes place. Can I stay in the park after the race ends?

​What happens if it rains? Is there shelter at the race?
The Turkey Trot happens rain or shine. Although race organizers will use the Breckon Shelter for registration and food, there is not enough room in the shelter to hold all participants at once.
Please come prepared for the day. As they say, there's no such thing as bad weather, there’s just bad clothing!
